The latest round of United States Mint sales figures show several interesting product developments, including the near sell out of the three recently issued America the Beautiful 5 ounce Silver Coins. The US Mint placed the collector Hot Springs National Park 5 Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin on sale Thursday. 19,000 of the 27,000 sold by the evening. Coin collectors for the first time in three years will be able to purchase the one-ounce 2011 American Eagle Gold Uncirculated Coin beginning at 12:00 noon Eastern Time on May 5, 2011. NCA recovers overpriced coins,
Nearly $5 million has now been recovered for unwitting buyers of overpriced coins through the intervention of the Numismatic Consumer Alliance, Inc., according to John Albanese, founder and president of the not-for-profit watchdog organization.
