Niagara Falls Police over the weekend received two reports of large amounts of coins being stolen from area homes. Two boxes containing about 50 pounds of assorted silver coins were reported stolen from a Lewiston Road home sometime over the previous five weeks, police were told. Some of the coins were reportedly worth as much as $18 apiece, according to reports. Investigators are checking into the possibility that someone employed in the home may have been involved.
