Bags and rolls of the Mount Hood National Forest Site Quarter will go on sale from the United States Mint on Monday, November 15, 2010, at noon Eastern Time (ET). The quarters will also enter public circulation via the Federal Reserve Bank system the same day, while the official launch ceremony for the new quarters will follow on Wednesday, November 17. The United States Mint today announced that it is again offering gift sleeves to help customers personalize proof sets purchased for special occasions. Resolution of the legal positions of the U.S. Mint and the descendants of Israel Switt over the fate of 10 genuine 1933 double eagle coins moved one step closer to trial on Oct. 28 with release of a 20-page decision by U.S. District Court Judge Legrome Davis Jr., from the federal court on the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
