RomeSentinel.com provided more background on the 2010 Native American dollar coin's reverse. The reverse design features five arrows bound together with a Hiawatha Belt. The article reported that during the launch ceremony earlier this week, Oneida Nation Representative Ray Halbritter said, "When the Peacemaker brought the nations together, he took up one arrow and showed how it could be broken easily. Then he took up a bundle of five arrows and showed how much stronger those arrows were when they were bound together." More insight about the Oneida Indian Nation symbolism is described in the article.
FloridaToday.com reported this year's Super Bowl coin flew to space on Shuttle Atlantis. It journeyed for 11 days, visited the International Space Station, and returned on Nov. 27. The coin was designed and struck at The Highland Mint located in Melbourne, FL. The astronauts did something with the coin while in space, the article said, and we may learn what it was at the Super Bowl. The article also described why the coin got its mission to space and more about Highland. The Super Bowl will held on Sunday, Feb. 7 in the Sun Life Stadium (aka Dolphin Stadium) in Miami, FL, and the coin will be tossed at 6 PM ET.

Then more dialog continued and Marks commented that the CCAC's documents were on the web at ccac.gov. Barman said he'll write more on this subject this weekend on his web site, coinsblog.blogspot.com. I'm looking forward to it.
